Kærskov Vineyard was planted in 2014 by Ryan Carr. This vineyard was planted 6’x3’ making it 2420 vines per acre “high-density”. This site is in the center of the Santa Ynez Valley in the Los Olivos District AVA. This section of the AVA is perfect for growing the Rhone varietals. The soil is a nice mix of clay-lome and river stone, which creates great drainage with rich nutrients.

Aged for 20 months in one year old french oak.

This Syrah has a deep ruby color with violet hues. It is rich with a bouquet of crushed blackberries and fresh blueberries followed by a smooth finish of vanilla bean, cherries and a touch of white pepper. The wine is a medium to full bodied red with a smooth finish and soft velvety tannins.
