Woodstock Vineyard is a beautiful high-density vineyard in the northeast end of Santa Ynez Valley. This vineyard is on one of the steepest, south facing slopes in the valley. Because of the tight spacing and steep slopes, the vines can only be hand farmed. This wine was aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 20% new oak. This deep red Sangiovese has great aromatic intensity of ripe strawberries, black currants and dried herbs. Medium-bodied and soft on the palate, with balanced acidity and ripe tannins.
