This Grenache is from Lyons Vineyard in the Los Olivos District of Santa Barbara County. It is an Ultra-High-Density vineyard planted 5'x3'. This tight spacing creates a competition between the vines that produces very small berries with dark skins. We age the wine for 18 months in French barrels. The first sip is fruit forward with a hint of spice followed by an intense structure and body.
